Westrock Coffee Company Recently Expanded Its U.S. Operations With A New Manufacturing
Facility In Conway, Ark

Westrock Coffee Company (Nasdaq: WEST), a Little Rock, Arkansas-based leader in coffee and tea solutions, opened a 570,000-square-foot roast-to-ready-to-drink manufacturing facility in Conway, Arkansas, on June 13, 2025, ahead of schedule. The $315 million investment, the largest in company history, features end-to-end automation from green coffee receiving to bottling, producing millions of single-serve coffee cups daily for private-label brands. The facility, with a 130,000-square-foot beverage development lab, will create 600 jobs, including 900 at full

capacity, supporting Central Arkansas’s 10,000-strong manufacturing workforce. Backed by state incentives, it targets a $35 billion single-serve coffee market, driven by 20% annual growth. CEO Scott Ford stated, “This facility positions Westrock to meet evolving consumer demands with innovative solutions.”

For the precision machining industry, Westrock’s facility highlights the critical role of feed rate in manufacturing packaging components. Parts like bottling nozzles require CNC milling with precise feed rates, typically 20–60 inches per minute, to achieve tolerances within ±0.001 inches and surface roughness as low as Ra 8 µin for food-grade alloys. 5-axis milling machines, optimized for feed rate to ensure efficiency, support automated production with real-time quality control. The project drives demand for local machine shops to supply precision tooling, adopting Industry 4.0 technologies like AI-driven milling and additive manufacturing. As part of a $50 billion precision manufacturing market, this initiative creates opportunities for suppliers in Arkansas, where manufacturing jobs grew 2% since 2022, strengthening beverage supply chains.
