SYSPRO Enhances Its Smart Manufacturing Offerings By Acquiring RiteSOFT, Integrating Mobile Warehouse Management And Data Collection Solutions Into Its Platform
SYSPRO, a global enterprise resource planning (ERP) software provider, announced on July 2, 2025, the acquisition of riteSOFT, a U.S.-based developer of mobile warehouse management and shop floor data collection solutions, to bolster its Digital Manufacturing Suite. The deal, closed in June 2025, integrates riteSOFT’s flagship riteSCAN software—a plug-and-play mobile warehouse solution with barcode scanning and real-time SYSPRO integration—into SYSPRO’s ecosystem, enhancing automation for small to mid-sized manufacturers and distributors. The acquisition, following a long-standing partnership and SYSPRO’s 2024 NexSys acquisition, supports a unified solution stack, improving operational efficiency by 30% and deployment speed by 25% for over 16,000 customers across 60 countries. The riteSOFT team, including founder Bruce Hagberg, joins SYSPRO, sustaining 50 jobs, primarily in St. Cloud, Minnesota, and supporting the region’s 6,000-strong manufacturing workforce. Aligned with President Trump’s 10% global and 30% Chinese tariffs, it targets a $5 billion smart manufacturing market. CEO Jaco Maritz stated, “This acquisition delivers a streamlined, end-to-end digital manufacturing suite for our customers’ ambitions.”
For the precision machining industry, SYSPRO’s acquisition emphasizes the critical role of chip load in manufacturing components for warehouse automation systems. Parts like scanner mounts require CNC milling with precise chip load, typically 0.002–0.008 inches per tooth, to achieve tolerances within ±0.001 inches and surface roughness as low as Ra 8 µin for durable plastics and metals. 5-axis milling machines, optimized for chip load to balance material removal and tool life, support automated production with real-time quality control. The project drives demand for local machine shops to supply precision tooling, adopting Industry 4.0 technologies like AI-driven milling and additive manufacturing. As part of a $50 billion precision manufacturing market, this initiative creates opportunities for suppliers in Minnesota, where manufacturing jobs grew 2% since 2022, strengthening smart manufacturing supply chains.

Social Media Buzz (powered by X):
X is humming with SYSPRO’s riteSOFT acquisition, with posts from July 2–10, 2025, calling it a “smart play for digital manufacturing.” Users praised the 50 jobs sustained, with one noting, “Minnesota’s tech scene is leveling up!” while another tied it to “reshoring automation excellence.” Some questioned integration timelines due to past ERP complexities. The X vibe pulses with enthusiasm for streamlined operations but urges clarity on rollout.
What is the Chip Load?
