BWX Technologies Secures $2.1 Billion U.S. Navy Contract for Nuclear Reactor Components

The company has been awarded a $2.1 billion contract by the U.S. Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program to supply nuclear reactor components for Columbia-class submarines, Virginia-class submarines, and Ford-class aircraft carriers. This multi-year deal, spanning seven years from 2023, ensures reliable propulsion systems for the Navy’s fleet, leveraging BWXT’s decades of expertise in nuclear energy solutions for defense.
