The deal, first disclosed on January 21, 2025, includes AMMO’s 185,000-square-foot facility in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, ballistic testing capabilities, brass shellcase production lines, and associated employees, now integrated into Winchester’s ammunition business. The transaction shifts AMMO’s focus to its e-commerce platform, leveraging GunBroker’s 1 million daily visitors, while Winchester gains capacity to meet rising demand for small-caliber ammunition, projecting $40 million in annual synergies. The sale aligns with a 10% increase in U.S. ammunition demand since 2023, driven by hunting and sport shooting, with Winchester supplying 25% of the $5 billion market. AMMO retained its Scottsdale, Arizona, headquarters and intellectual property for future ventures. The deal is expected to retain 150 jobs in Manitowoc, supporting Wisconsin’s 62,000 manufacturing workforce.
