A Manufacturer And Supplier Of Non-Ferrous Metal Components Brawo USA Is Pumping $23.2 Million Into A Laurens County Operation That Will Created An Additional 24 New Jobs

Brawo USA, Inc., part of Brawo Group and Italy-based Holding Umberto Gnutti Group, announced on July 15, 2025, a $23.2 million expansion of its Laurens County, South Carolina, facility at 499 Hunter Industrial Park Road. The project adds 30,000 square feet to the existing 90,000-square-foot plant, increasing production capacity for brass and non-ferrous metal components, such as valves and fittings for plumbing, gas, and industrial sectors. The expansion, supported by a $250,000 Rural Infrastructure Fund grant and job development credits from South Carolina’s Coordinating Council for Economic Development, will create 24 new jobs, boosting the region’s 5,000-strong manufacturing workforce. Operations are expected to be online by 2026, with investments in advanced machinery, including four additional CNC mills and auto-forge presses. Aligned with President Trump’s 10% global and 30% Chinese tariffs, the project targets a $5 billion non-ferrous metals market. General Manager Silvio Fappani stated, “This expansion strengthens our U.S. manufacturing footprint, investing in people, skills, and industry.”

For the precision machining industry, Brawo USA’s expansion highlights the critical role of feed per revolution in manufacturing non-ferrous components. Parts like valve bodies require CNC milling with precise feed per revolution, typically 0.001–0.005 inches, to achieve tolerances within ±0.001 inches and surface roughness as low as Ra 8 µin for brass alloys. 5-axis milling machines, optimized for feed per revolution to balance efficiency and surface quality, support automated production with real-time quality control. The project drives demand for local machine shops to supply precision tooling, adopting Industry 4.0 technologies like AI-driven milling and additive manufacturing. As part of a $50 billion precision manufacturing market, this initiative creates opportunities for suppliers in South Carolina, where manufacturing jobs grew 2% since 2022, strengthening industrial supply chains.
